His Own is a Catholic music and ministry group of three friends - Kara Klein Oubre, Maria Spears Mumaugh, and Christine Simpson Wessa - who sing and speak to women about identity, dignity, and worth.

Together they have recorded multiple albums of original music, appeared on EWTN, and served parishes, conferences, and festivals across the country and beyond.

My name is Kara and I am from the deep Southern city of New Orleans. I've spent the last couple decades traveling the globe, sharing my love for Jesus Christ through testimony and worship.

As I traveled I encountered countless other women with the same struggles to find their true identity in Christ. This lit a fire in my heart to help found His Own.

I've been blessed to record 5 original solo albums, and 2 albums with Maria and Christine. I love singing and writing music, especially with my sisters in Christ!

Hi! I am an entrepreneur, musician, speaker, podcaster, author, and women's self-worth strategist - and a co-founder of His Own with Christine and Kara.

I have traveled all over the US and internationally playing music with various bands and for events such as World Youth Day, Youth 2000s, NCYC and others - along with doing mission work, exploring the world, and sharing the message of the Theology of the Body.

I have been featured on EWTN and have released 3 albums with His Own and 1 solo project.

Hey y'all! I am a speaker and musician and co-founder of His Own with Kara and Maria. I have been active in this side of ministry for over seven years and have never felt more alive!

I have been singing for various retreats and ministry events, such as Youth 2000s and Catholic women's conferences all over the country, for more than 12 years. I have appeared on EWTN with Kara and Maria and have sung background vocals for other Christian and Catholic artists. I have two original albums with the ladies of His Own, plus an original Divine Mercy CD.

I grew up in Nashville, TN and now reside in Florida with my husband and twin boys! I love to travel with Kara and Maria and share authentic, humorous and inspiring messages about identity and how God shows up in the every day ordinary.
